Goal: The SEAS is delighted to announce an intensive school on Pattern Recognition. This school blends theoretical and practical aspects of Data science with focus on models, tools and techniques in data science illustrated through problems in pattern matching and pattern recognition with applications in Computer Science, Bioinformatics/Computational Biology and Image Processing.
This school is led by experts from both industry and academia and will be an immersive experience in theoretical and practical aspects of Data science for advanced UG/PG students and faculty members in Computer Science / Mathematics. This school will be an opportunity for prospective researchers to get a rigorous introduction into the fast emerging field of Data Science.

Workshop on “Machine Learning in Speech Processing”

Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, is organizing a workshop on “Machine Learning in Speech Processing” from 12th July to 15th July 2017.

The main objective of this workshop is to provide a platform for Students, Teachers, Researchers and Industry personnel to learn the basics of speech processing and start research and development of applications in this field. This workshop is aimed at who want to do research in the Speech processing area, with motivation for building practical systems and applications using available tools and resources.

Main focus of the workshop is on the hands-on sessions on different software platforms to design speech/speaker recognition systems using different classifiers as VQ, GMM and HMM.

We look forward to a strong representation from your esteemed institute for the same and request you to kindly depute faculty and ​ PG students, Research scholars, who intend to pursue this vertical as their domain of interest to enroll for the workshop.
